Unexpected healer

Katalina's POV

We finally came to a stop in front of 2 trees with a small clearing between then. The troll stood in front of us and said "This is where my journey ends and yours begins princess. I hope I get to fight alongside you in the future," He then reached into his pants pocket and pulled out what looked to be a marble.

"Break this and I will be by your side the minute you do." he then bowed and walked away.

I stared at the marble. It was green and had little specks of white and black inside of it. "Thank you," I said, but he had already left.

"Umm, so what are we supposed to do now Kat? He didn't tell us how to go through. Do you know what to do?"

I looked up at the clearing. I didn't know what to do so I reached out my hand and it suddenly disappeared. I pulled it back only to see that my hand was still intact.

Before anyone could stop me, I walked through the opening. My eyes met the most beautiful sight ever. The green grass was cut and the flowers were blooming. Birds were flying in the air and others were singing on the branches.

I felt the wind speed up and caress my face. The air even smelt better over here. I closed my eyes as I inhaled deeply.

"Who are you and how did you find this place." Two women who seemed to be in their late forties were now standing in front of me. They held out sharp spears towards me.

I quickly cast a shield spell because I didn't want to hurt them. Nor did I want to get hurt myself. "I'm Katalina Regina. I came in search of a healer to save my best friend. I mean no harm to anyone."

They eyed me for a while longer before finally dropping their spears. I looked behind me to see that the others hadn't followed me in. Why haven't they crossed over yet? I looked back at the women and saw that they were walking away.

"Wait!" I yelled, not wanting to leave the others behind. "My mate and friends are on the other side. I need to get them so they can come with me. I promise you we won't hurt anyone. We have no ill intentions."

They looked bothered by what I said. The woman with fair skin and straight long black hear spoke. "Only healers can enter this realm, and only healers can find it. Your friends haven't entered because they aren't healers."

Well this sucks big time. I said to myself. "Well isn't there a way for them to cross over with me? Just until tomorrow and then we'll leave."

The other woman, who had wavy blonde hair walked over to the clearing and pushed out her hands. When she pulled them back, she held Steph and Vea in them.

"There can we go now?"

"Wait. My mate is still out there," I said as Vea walked over to me and held my hand in an attempt to console me.

The woman rolled her eyes and stood in front of the veil once more. It took a while but when she pulled her hand back Andre stepped over. I ran to him and hugged him. "Don't you ever scare me like that again Luna," he said as he placed his nose in the crook of my neck and inhaled deeply.

I nodded the Steph spoke up "Ladies, I am Stephan, the beta of the Blood Moon pack. With me is the soon to be alpha, Andre Regile, along with Nivea. Nivea is a witch."

They gasped when they heard Nivea was a witch and brought their spears up in a defensive position. "She's not a dark witch. She doesn't use dark magic."

"Yeah I use light magic sweethearts, so you can put down those very pointy spears because I just came here to support my girl."

The woman with black hair spoke up "Follow me, quickly. The others mustn't know that you've brought company."

We quickly followed her down a long and gorgeous path and ended up in front of a small cottage. As we stepped inside, I noticed the inside seemed much bigger than the outside.

"Wow," said Vea, she had taken the word right of my mouth.

"Firstly," said the black-haired woman as she embraced me in a hug. The other woman also did the same but she scowled at Andre as he growled at them for hugging me so abruptly.

I patted his hand and he grabbed it and pulled me by his side. The black-haired woman spoke once more and said "I am Roxy, a guard of this veil. This is Elise. She is also a guard of this veil." She said while pointing at the blond-haired woman.

"We know of the prophecy. It stated that the goddess of power's child will come here to learn how to heal within 2 nights. After she leaves the war will begin."

"I never heard that part of the prophecy before. I just know the part about me being the beacon. My mother is dead."

"You were bestowed to your mother with the help of the moon goddess," said Elise. She walked over to a shelf and picked up a thick book along with a scroll.

"Those are the things you have to study and learn before you leave this place the day after tomorrow. Come child." I was in shock. My legs didn't move and my brain wasn't telling my mouth what to say.

I feel Andre squeeze my hand lightly and I was finally able to say what I was thinking." We have no time for this. My friend is slowly turning into a human. If one of you don't head over there right now with me, she might be that way forever. I can't let this happen!"

Elise then yelled "You want to risk our lives and possibly countless others for your selfish desire in turning your friend back into a wolf? How absurd! Your mother has sent you here to do greater things than that with your power and you choose to sacrifice the life of a healer for that?! Maybe you aren't who you say you are after all. For all, we know you were a healer who lived here and decided to leave for purely selfish reasons."

"You will not speak to her in such a manor. You either come with us like the civilized person you seem to be or we take you by force." Andre snapped, he was on the verge of shifting and he aimed his last sentence at Roxy.

Steph also stepped up, ready to take one of the healers by force. Elise's face was now red and she looked extremely mad. She opened her mouth to speak but it was Roxy who got her word out.

"If a healer leaves this veil, all supernaturals are able to sense it. They will flock here like birds and stop at nothing to either kill us or capture us and have us work for them. This is a place created by the power goddess in order to keep us safe and alive. You are also a healer Katalina. You are able to hide that power so it doesn't bring harm to you." She smiled at me and looked away before beginning to speak again "We are still mere human's and we can die very easily. We are frail. We can only help you by teaching you all the ways of us as healers. You can take a walk around and even meet the older healers, but no healers are allowed to leave his veil. I hope you can understand that."

I nodded. I did understand and now I felt bad for wanting to take them out and having harm come to them.

"Please forgive me. I didn't know that was the reason you guys couldn't leave. I sincerely apologize." They bowed their heads to me and Elise walked around once more as she picked up another book and handed it to me.

"This book will teach you how to heal wolves. The book I gave you before is the background of healers and what we can do. Please study as you only have two nights to know all these things." I nodded.

"Why does she have only two nights?" Vea asked.

"We don't know. The prophecy is marked in the scroll she has. That is what it states and we will follow it accordingly."
