Uninvited Rendezvous.

 Katalina's POV

The cool air blew through the window. I got up and took a few steps closer and closed it. It was already 9 pm and my boss had yet to dismiss me.

It might seem weird that I have to wait for my boss to let me go home but it's something that I've grown accustomed to.

Not really wanting to stay any longer, I got up and headed to his office. I lightly tapped on the door before entering and saw him staring at an open book with a bunch of papers under it and 2 papers in each hand.

I cleared my throat. " Sir" I said. He looked up at me as if I had just spat on his paperwork. Who died and made you king scowls-a-lot?  I said in my head.

I lifted my head higher and pushed my shoulders back as I looked him in his eyes and said, "Sir, it's past 9 and I have a lot of homework to do. Can I leave?"

He glanced at his watch and then back up at me. "Ask one of the night shift workers to help you lock up and then you can leave." He then went back to staring at the book.

Sometimes I found humans interesting, but at times like these, I found them deplorable. His balding scalp along with his restful scowl and his near-wrinkling face made him less striking and pleasurable to look at.

He scowled as he looked up once more. His scowl deepened further if that was even possible, as he opened his mouth and the words "What are you waiting for?" left it.

I had been too caught up in thinking about this dusty old human, that I forgot to get moving. I smiled as kindly as I could and walked out of the room and shut the door before rolling my eyes.

Sometimes that man can be so nice then the next minute he's ill-mannered.

Ugh makes me wanna stab my eyes out. I took the elevator to the underground parking lot and met a security guard and asked him for his help.

"Um sir? Sorry to bother you but can you help me lock up upstairs?" He looked as if though he worked out in the gym 24/7.

I almost drooled over myself at how majestic he looked. Something seemed off with him though and I made a mental note to do a background check on him when I come back to work on Monday.

"Uhh, sure."We quickly locked up and I then headed back to the parking lot and into my vehicle. I owned a simple black Ford Fusion. I drove off and headed home.

I wanted to get home so badly that I didn't bother to learn his name.

I work and go to school in the city of Quora. Off the edge of the city is where my inherited land begins. I own 13 acres filled with beautiful trees and a lot of running space for my wolf. Maybe someday I'll expand the house.

I work 30 minutes away from my house while driving to school is an hour due to it being deeper into the large city. The house was in the middle of the 13 acres, not really hidden much by trees but behind it there are trees to build 10 more cabins. Okay maybe not 10 more but it's a lot of trees.

The house is big, but not as big as the pack mansion. It's three stories high. It had a master bedroom in which I slept in located on the second floor along with three other bedrooms, one bedroom is on the ground floor, and each bedroom had an adjoining bathroom. A grand hall is on the third floor along with a nearby patio. The kitchen is on the first floor along with the family room and dining room.

The outside had a wrap-around porch with a swing to the left as you enter. A road leading up to the house and space to the side where I could park my car was visible behind the bar gates.
