The next morning all settled for breakfast and were looking for Dheeraj.
"Mujhe lagta hai Dheeraj abhi tak so raha hai mai uthakar aata hu use"Arun said standing up from his chair.
"Beth jao vapas"Karan said in a hard voice.
"Par bhaiya school jaana hai use"Arun said.
"Betho Arun"Karan said firmly.
Arun gulped and sat down.
"Aaj na hi Dheeraj school jaega aur na mai office jaunga"Karan said picking up spoon to finish the poha in breakfast.
By Karan's words everyone now knew that Dheeraj had done something wrong.
After breakfast the trio left for school. Ashish walked to Karan.
"Dheeraj theek hai na Karan?"Ashish asked.
"Mai aapko sab bataunga baad mein"Karan assured.
Ashish nodded and left for office. Karan asked servants to prepare lemon water. He walked to Dheeraj's room with a glass of lemon water.
He entered in and switched on the lights of his room.
"Dheeraj utho"Karan said keeping the glass on side table.
Getting no response he snatched Dheeraj's blanket and shook him.
"Dheeraj"He said firmly.
Dheeraj opened his eyes slowly blinking them. He looked at Karan who was glaring at him.
He sat up on his bed quickly and looked at the clock on the front wall. He widened his eyes seeing the time.
"Oh my god. Maine to school hi miss kar diya"He yelled but stopped because of a sharp pain in his head.
He held his head in pain. Karan offered him the lemon water.
"Ye kya hai bhaiya"Dheeraj asked holding his head.
"Piyo ise lemon water hai"Karan said firmly and Dheeraj took the glass.
He drank the whole lemon water and kept the glass on side table.
"Kaisa feel ho raha hai"Karan asked.
"Better"He replied.
"Take bath and breakfast and then meet me in the study"Karan said firmly.
"Study kyu bhaiya"Dheeraj whined.
"Tumhari kal ki achievement discuss karne ke liye"Karan said glaring at him with red angry eyes.
Dheeraj gulped. He now remembered what happened last night.
"Bhaiya vo sab jo raat ko-
"Tumhe pura mauka dunga mai explanation ka par yaha nahi study mein"Karan said cutting him off.
Karan stood up and left the room while Dheeraj stood up to get fresh helplessly.
After an hour Dheeraj was ready and also had breakfast. He started slowly walking towards study.
He was standing outside the study nervously but he gathered some courage to knock and he did.
"Come in"Karan said firmly.
Dheeraj slowly walked inside and stood in front of his elder brother who was looking like a angry hungry lion who is going to eat him.
"Tumhe yaad hai raat mein kya hua tha?"Karan asked sternly.
Dheeraj nodded.
"Zuban nahi hai?"Karan yelled and Dheeraj flinched.
"Ji..ji bhaiya yaad hai"Dheeraj said quickly.
"Apni marzi se pi thi?"Karan asked and Dheeraj shook his head.
"Nahi"He said when he saw Karan glaring at him sharply.
"Explain"Karan said folding his arms on his chest.
"Bhaiya mujhe ek batchmate ne glass offer kiya tha and I swear mujhe nahi pata tha usme alcohol mix hai isliye maine peeliya"Dheeraj replied honestly.
"Kisne offer kiya"Karan asked gritting his teeth.
"Batchmate bhaiya bola toh"Dheeraj said not wanting to answer.
Karan stood up from his chair angrily and Dheeraj took two steps back. He walked to him and held his ear in a tight grip.
"Kuch poocha tha maine Mr. Dheeraj Mehra"Karan said twisting his ear.
"Ahh bhaiya..Naman ne naman ne ki"Dheeraj said in pain. Karan left his ear and looked at him shocked.
"Tumhara dimaag theek hai Dheeraj?"Karan asked furiously.
He very well knew Naman and his family. Naman was a cunning boy who was always jealous of Dheeraj and all other Mehras. He always took Dheeraj as a competition but couldn't beat him. Naman once pushed Dheeraj in school but a teacher held him quickly saving him from falling down the stairs.
"Bhaiya usne bola ki voh ab mujhse dosti karna chahta hai aur usne bola ki ab vo school jaisa nahi raha"Dheeraj said.
"Itne bade ho gaye ho abhi bhi logon ki intentions samajh nahi aati"Karan yelled.
Dheeraj flinched.
"Mai Jai ko bolta tha ki he is not mature enough but look at you kya harkat karke aae ho"Karan said angrily.
"Sorry"He muttered.
"What do you mean by sorry!! Kuch galat mila deta vo drink mein alcohol ki jagah koi reaction hojata hum kya karte Dheeraj. What if something happened to you??"Karan shouted.
Dheeraj hugged him.
"Sorry bhaiya. I had no idea vo ye sab karega. Sachii mai abse aise behave nahi karunga"He said with a sad face.
"Dur hato. Baat hi nahi karne mujhe tumse"Karan said pushing Dheeraj away.
"Please bhaiya aise nahi kro"Dheeraj said hugging him tightly.
Karan hugged him back.
"Dheeraj you scared the hell out of me at night when you were not picking my calls. Aur uske baad tumhe drunk dekh kar pagal ho gaya tha main. Aur ab sabse zyada pagal ye sunke horaha hu ki you without even thinking took a drink from a boy who you knew always wanted to harm you. I am worried for you. A lot"Karan said.
"Bhaiya mujhe pata hai maine bohot bada blunder kiya hai but I assure you aage se aisa nahi hoga. Us Naman ka to mai muh todke aaunga how dare he. Aaj se sirf packed drinks hi lunga mai kisi bhi party mein"Dheeraj said.
"Muh todna hai tumhe uska"Karan said whacking his head.
"Ouch"Dheeraj rubbed his head.
"Kya karun ab mai tumhara. Itne bade hogye ho maarne ka bhi mann nahi karta"Karan said angrily.
"Arey that's so good bhaiya koi zarurat bhi nahi hai maarne ki aise hi sudhar jaunga pakka"Dheeraj said cutely.
"Not at all. I am not letting you go without punishment. You need a punishment to remember everytime someone offers you a drink" Karan said firmly and walked towards his chair and sat down glaring at Dheeraj.
