Harry's POV

Hermione decided that there should be a smaller hangout with her, me, and Ron and we can all Bring one other person. They both knew that I was going to bring Draco, as if that wasn't obvious. But I was excited to see who they'd bring along.

They ended up mutually breaking up, but I'm glad they decided to stay civil with eachother and be friends again. I dont know how we could've handled being apart after all these year, and Christmas dinner would be especially difficult.

On the night of the get-together, Draco told me that he'd get here by himself. But let me tell you, if he's even a minute late, I'm going to look for him, I don't care what Hermione says. Actually I do, she's an amazing friend and I will love and appreciate her forever, but if Draco were to get lost... I'd feel terrible.

Draco showed up early, walking side by side with Pansy Parkinson and Blaise Zabini. He was smiling and they were all signing back in forth. I felt like a proud mother as I watched him make friends in his own house. But a part of me wondered where they learned to sign, and if they already knew, why hadn't they approached Draco sooner?

I quickly realised that I was staring, and then realised that that Draco was staring back. I smiled at him before walking over to the small group of Slytherins. "Hello, and... who's whose date?" They both blushed at the question, but neither had to verbally answer, Hermione did that for them.

She appeared out of nowhere and looped her arm around Pansy's. "She's all mine" Pansy's face only got redder, I could immediately tell that this was new, but Hermione looked as happy as could be.

I smiled at her once before asking, "Where's Ron?"

"He said he'd be down in a minute."

"So in other words he's nervous," I winked at Blaise."He's never late for the chance at food." We all laughed and got seated around the common room while we waited for Ron.

I turned to Draco, who had already pulled out the notebook and began writing in it.

I'm glad they were the people Hermione and Ron chose. They're actually really friendly. And now I have friends in my classes.

Im glad. You ready to play a bunch of party games that Hermione has preplanned? He laughed and nodded. I noticed Blaise staring at us.

When he realised I was looking at him, he spoke for the first time tonight. "You guys look good together." He smiled. "Are you dating yet?" As he spoke Hermione signed to Draco.

"Yeah, sort of. When on our first date last weekend." I felt my face heat up, thinking about our kiss.

"Harry's trying to learn sign language so that they dont have to use that book to talk."

"You mean they dont just do that for privacy?" Pansy looked astonished.

"No, I've never learned how to sign so we just talk this way. Why?"

"My, my. I expected better from you Granger."

"What do you mean?" Hermione seemed borderline offended.

"I mean... with all the books you read you should know that theres a spell you can use so that anything you say outloud can be translated into any language you wish. Including sign language." Blaise had been translating for Draco the entire time.

Did you know about this?

Yes, but it was just so romantic of you to learn sign language for me. And it was kinda cute to watch you stumble over yourself when you were flustered. After reading that, I looked up at him, only to see him hiding his face.
