A CHILL RUNS DOWN NYLA STARK'S SPINE, causing her to shiver as she walks out of the castle and into the open yard. She had finished her needlework early, and instead of taking up another project, she had snuck out of the class when the Septa was busy praising her younger sister, Sansa, for her own work to go watch her little brother and youngest sibling, Bran, practice his archery skills.

"Go on. Father's watching." Nyla hears her bastard brother, Jon Snow, speak, presumably to Bran to encourage him. "And your mother," Jon adds, before glancing at Nyla, who has paused to watch Bran from a small platform a few yards away from Bran, Jon, and her other two brothers, Robb, and Eyan Stark. "And your eldest sister." Jon nods towards Nyla, who is now leaning on the railing at the front of the platform. When Bran looks back at Nyla, she gives him an encouraging smile.

Bran attempts to shoot an arrow to hit the bullseye in front of him once more but ends up shooting it far higher than the target is set, even going over the wall, gaining some laughter from Robb, Jon, and Eyan, which makes Nyla feel sympathetic towards the younger boy.

"You're doing good," Nyla attempts to be supportive, despite the fact she knows he is definitely not doing good. Though, Nyla's sure Bran has been doing better than he was the last time she snuck away to watch him practice, so it isn't a complete lie.

"Maybe if he wants to shoot a giant." Eyan snickers at his own joke, along with Robb and Jon, gaining a scoff and an eye roll from their sister.

"And which one of you was a marksman at ten?" Their father, Ned Stark, cuts into the conversation from a balcony looking over the boys. "Keep practicing, Bran." Ned turns his attention to his youngest. "Go on." He says encouragingly.

"Don't think too much." Jon, along with the two other boys, has stopped laughing and is now trying to be supportive despite his obvious amusement.

"Relax your bow arm," Robb adds, also attempting to be as supportive as possible after the words of his father.

Bran takes a deep breath before pulling another arrow back. However, before Bran can release his arrow and make another attempt to shoot the target, another arrow flies through the air and hits the target, perfecting hitting the bullseye, unlike any shot Bran had taken.
