Not much is known about Vortex, other than the fact he at first worked for Verosika Mayday as her bodyguard, but quit his job after getting sick of her nonsensical and cruel actions. Having to help provide for his girlfriend Villa and seeking a new job, Vortex wound up teaming up with Bendy, Moxxie, Cherri, and Mask when the Cleanse had come earlier than usual, cementing a relationship unlike others he had woith the imp and his overlord boyfriend, along with a place in I.M.P.
