"Kd you hungry?"
He looked over at Kentrell and I, sticking up his middle finger while Kentrell laughed
"I hope that was towards Kentrell cause I didn't say anything"
"You his girl so you guilty by association"
"Who said I was his girl?" I asked with my right brow arched up. Kentrell leaned back in his seat and placed his arm across the back of mine while a smirk was plastered on his lips. I noticed his eyes cut towards me and he nodded his head once before speaking
"You is my girl, fuck you mean?"
"When did I ever agree to this"
"When yo dumbass text him back when you realized you had the wrong number" Kd threw his two cents in
"And you answered his FaceTime call" Ben added
I looked at Amika and she shrugged, sitting her drink down on the table
"I mean.. you did invite this boy to your house alone. After you met him over text, not knowing if he was a stalker or serial killer or-"
Kd put his hand up
"You overthinking too damn much. Junie ain't that special"
"Jodie" I corrected Kd with a slight roll in my neck "besides, she's not overthinking. She's being a good friend. If your friend invited a complete stranger over what would y'all do"
They all looked at each other and did their own individual laughs
"The same thang we did when Yb went to meet you" Kd informed me and I looked at Kentrell, learning that his nickname for his friends is Yb. He started smiling from ear to ear and I continued to look at him
" What did they do?"
"We told him to read the Bible witchu" Ben joked
Amika rolled her eyes and leaned forward to sip on her drink
"Bullshit" she muttered before taking a sip
"Girl you cursing while we talkin bout the Bible"
She annoyingly looked over at Ben and I laughed knowing that she was destined to curse him out at any minute. The sound of a chair being pulled out at the table caught our attention and I looked over to see that it was baby joe, another one of Kentrell's friends that I met. He sat down in the seat and once he saw everybody looking at him his face frowned up
"Hell yall lookin at?"
"Still tryina figure it out" Amika spoke lowly, throwing her shade. I felt Kentrell's hand grasp onto my bare thigh which startled me a little until I looked over at him and made a face, grabbing his hand and moving it
"Whatchu move my hand fo'" he asked with a devilish chuckle
"Because your hand don't belong there"
"Damn I cant touch on you?"
I shook my head, letting him know I was serious but he still didn't pay me any attention. Kentrell grabbed my thigh again and started rubbing it, dipping his hand in between my thighs trying to be slick
"So lil Jodie, you gone keep fuckin with my boy or what?" Ben randomly asked which caused me to look at him confused "cause we can't let him get his heart broken by no bitch"
"Excuse me but you might wanna come correct with that bitch term" Amika quickly came to my defense and I smiled.
"Thank you best friend"
"You welcome best friend"
"Y'all hoes kill me with that best friend shit" baby joe now started up, offending the both of us. These were really some disrespectful ass niggas
"Y'all love degrading women. Now I'm not too surprised that all of y'all walkin round lonely"
"I ain lonely" Kentrell muttered
"I get bitches" Ben plainly told Amika and I rolled my eyes
"You might get em but do y'all keep em"
"If I really want to" Kentrell truthfully answered seeming very cocky then looked at me "wanna see why"
"Boy are you outta yo damn mind?" I asked him while laughing and he shrugged, looking away
"Say, I think y'all should come chill with us one day. Smoke some, get a li drink in y'all system..." Ben suggested and Amika laughed some
"I'm good on that. Y'all aggravating enough without weed and liquor in y'all system"
"Ion know why y'all inviting these li girls from the suburbs to come chill with us" baby joe told ben and I scoffed
"What's that supposed to mean?"
"WhAt's tHat suPpoSed tO mEaN" Kd mocked me "exactly what he said"
"Whatever. We down to chill whenever"
Amika quickly looked over at me, not expecting me to agree to it
"No we ain't!"
"YES we are" I repeated myself before looking over at Kentrell and he started smiling at me
