Dakari nervously sat in his first hour, the only class he had with his girlfriend. Their spring break was over so he sat in class before everyone else. The boy plans to ask Zoriana to the prom today in the first hour because she wasn't here yesterday due to her doctor's appointment. Dakari asked Mrs. P how he should ask the girl and they came up with doing a word search as the bellringer. Everyone will have a real word search and Zoriana will have the one with the big question. Dakari wanted to go all out but that's not who his girlfriend is, she might say no if he asks her in front of a lot of people.
The first bell of the day rang before the class started to fill up.
"How did you beat me here?" Zoriana laughed putting her backpack down
"I was up early," he said she nodded
"Are you excited about playing in the state championship on Thursday?" She asked feeling his nervousness it made her nervous
"Yeah, are you coming to my AAU games this summer since I can't play anymore I get to coach the ones here," he said
"Yes, I definitely could use some athletic trainer practice," Zoriana said before the tardy bell rung
"Good morning senior babies, today's bell ringer and only assignment is to complete the word search Dakari will hand out," Mrs. Prescott said giving the boy the stack of paper, he knew to give Zoriana the first one so he did, then he went about passing the word puzzles
"Did you eat breakfast this morning?" Dakari asked watching her look for words
"Yes my dad made egg bites they were good, Kari I can't find any words" she mumbled showing him her paper
"You need some help?" He asked
"This looks like my name" she laughed
"Circle it, baby," he said watching her find the words
"Zoriana will you go to prom with me?" She said looking at the puzzle confused as Dakari recorded her
"Pooh" he laughed making her look over at him covering her smile
"Papa this is so cute and sweet of course I'll go to prom with you," she said before Mrs. Prescott gave her a bouquet of colorful flowers that Dakari made
"Mrs. P stop itttttt," she said tearing up
"Don't start crying it ain't no take backs" Dakari said making the girl laugh and hug him
"Thank you, I already got our color picked out" she smiled in his chest
"It's pink?" He asked making her nod in his chest
"What just happened?" Chase asked making the class laugh
"He asked that girl to prom," Miracle said rolling her eyes
