IN THE QUIET STILLNESS of the seemingly night, a celestial spectacle unfolds, painting the heavens with ethereal hues of green and blue. White lights dance across the sapphire expanse of the sky, like roots out of a tree or dancers performing an otherworldly ballet carrying ribbons, twisting and twirling against the backdrop.

Each shimmering curtain of color whispers memories and forgotten tales, beckoning the soul to gaze upon the wonders of the holders.

Under the spell of this celestial symphony, time itself seems to stand still and move infinitely at the same time. The bright white roots in the center of it all hold the key to unlocking the secrets of existence.

With flickering eyelids, Juliet found herself awakening amidst the illuminating lights. Confusion swept over her as she struggled to make sense of her surroundings, the glaring of the beams cast a harsh sting on her eyes. Her eyebrows furrow deeply as she tries to shield her eyes from the brightness above.

She groans as her eyes get accustomed to the light. While gaining consciousness, she feels grains cool beneath her fingertips.

Sand? Where the hell am I?

As she pushed herself up, grains of sand cascaded from her clothes and hair, leaving behind a trail of her abrupt arrival. Her head throbs with each movement.

A singular point of brilliance pierced the dark hues, beckoning her like a distance beacon. The light, pure and radiant, bathed her surroundings in an ethereal glow.

A figure stood in front, tall and thin, their silhouette etched against the incandescent glow. They partially obscured its radiance, casting an elongated shadow that stood across the sand.

Juliet stood to her feet trying to examine the figure.

As the figure faced away from her, Juliet's eyes widened in recognition as she caught sight of his distinctive brown hair. Despite his back turned to her, she knew him instantly, the familiarity of his tousled locks stirring memories of their shared moments together.

Despite the void stretching between them, the urge to bridge the gap persists in her. With a futile reach, Juliet's hand extends at the ephemeral wisps of hope, desperate to breach the divide that fate had cruelly imposed.

Her outstretched arm yearned for connection. Yet, her hand remains suspended in a silent plea.

"Bertholdt?"

As soon as she spoke, the world around her seemed to change.

Suddenly, a cold wind swept across her, carrying a biting chill that sent shivers down her back. With each gust, strands of her bangs danced wildly, whipping into a frenzy. The icy breath of winter nipped at her cheeks, leaving behind a rosy flush on her skin. This was when she noticed the weight of a heavy hood on her head.
