Witch Hunt (Levi x Dying Reader) Part 1

My mother used to tell me stories. The stories would reign from cheek flushing love stories, exciting adventures, to bone chilling horror stories. However, there was one story that she told that wasn't like any of the other stories she told. Now, young one, it is my turn to tell you this tale as I have heard it many times before.

Long long ago before the walls came tumbling down, lived a young girl. Her eyes were a color of (e/c) that made the stars look dull in comparison. Her (h/c) shone in the sun and soft to the touch. Her voice mimicked the singing of angles and skin as soft as silk. Men looked at her with want while women looked upon with jealousy. It was this jealousy that drove the young woman to her demise.

The woman's name was (F/n) (L/n). A beautiful name fitting for a beautiful woman. Don't be deceived by her small stature and angelic face. For she was strong, strong enough to make the strongest of men fall to her feet in defeat, and kill masses of Titans effortlessly.

One would wonder why such a beautiful kind women would join the deadly Survey Corp, but every time someone asked the girl she would smile and say "reasons," then turn back to the task she was doing. The girl was a mystery but that added to her charm. The girls charm, strength, and beauty attracted many men and even women. (F/n) was even able to capture the heart of the great Lance Corporal Levi himself.

Both the man and woman fell in love. How? I cannot say. It was a mystery to everyone how the stone cold corporal took a fancy to the mysterious cadet. Their love grew and grew with each passing day, burning hotter then the shining sun. Although their love blossomed into a beautiful and healthy relationship, and it grew an ugly, twisted weed inside another's heart.

The woman looked upon the girl with envy. For you see, she was also in love with the Lance Corporal, and when the two announced that they would be wed in the spring she finally snapped.

"How...how did this happen?" Petra sniffed in her pillow late at night. She cuddled closer to her covers trying to find comfort in the scratchy cloth. More and more tears fell down her pale face.

"I loved him first! This isn't fair!!!" She yelled into her pillow, her breath quickening. She sat up and slammed her fists on the mattress of her bed.

"He's supposed to love me not her!!! He was going to be mine, until she came along and ruined everything! There's no way...there's no way that she got him to love her! There's no way! Not in the amount of time she's known him..." She looked down, red hot fury still present in her eyes. She clenched the sheets harder, her knuckles turned white. Angry thoughts ran through her head getting more dark and twisted, forming into a corrupted decision, fueled by burning love. She gave off a giggle.

"Yeah, there's no way he loves her, not truly that is. He loves me and only me. He's just blinded by her wickedness. He just fell right into her trap." She sighs with content, then lays back down and closed her eyes. A twisted smile etched across her lips.

"Don't worry my love. Soon, I shall save you from that wicked witch, then you and I can be together, forever." With this new resolve she fell into a deep sleep.

Early the next morning, with the sun rising and the birds chirping, the sleeping beauty finally awoke to the peaceful face of her beloved. She smiled at his sleeping face and gently placed a hand upon his cheek and rubbed her padded thumb in circles on his skin. He gave out a slight groan earning a giggle in return. The man slowly opened he's steel grey eyes. They gazed upon his fiancé softly and pulled her into his embrace, burying his nose in the crook of her neck. Her sweet scent filled his nose and he sighed with content. He loved her dearly and thanked whatever being that brought her to him.
