A Few Weeks Later

I just got out of work.

I always park my bike right next to the garden because I usually leave when the sun sets. The garden looks so beautiful at sunset, I love to admire it.

But sadly that wasn't going to happen today since my ex boyfriend happens to be hanging out in the garden. I always forget that it's open to the public.

"Ugh fuck off Miles" I tell him when he starts following me to my bike as I tried to speed walk past him.

"I can't just 'fuck off' when I'm in love with you" I laugh
"You're delusional"
"Delusional for you" my face scrunched up in disgust as I mentally hurl

"Just hear me out" I turn to him taking in his appearance, he may be annoying and delusional as hell but damn was he fine.

His dark skin contrasted so well with his dark eyes. His waves were perfect and his lip, his lips make me almost miss kissing him.

"And- Efi are you even listening to me?" the sound of my name snaps me out of my gaze

"Miles let me save you from wasting your own time, you cheated and I'm not going to take you back, end of discussion."

I start to get on my bike to ride away but he holds on to the handles

"Efi, she kissed me and I didn't want it to happen" I laughed

"Miles you think I didn't see you shoving your tongue down her throat? Look, I'm too old for your high school hood love story approach, so please let go of my handle before I scream and embarrass you"

"Please-"
"I'll scream Miles, you know I will" he sighed letting go of the handle and I ride away to my apartment but not before sticking up the middle finger at him.

I've been so busy I haven't been able to read for the past few weeks

Also because in all the books I want to read the male lead has blue eyes and I can't help but think of Darren's blue eyes and the void in them.

I probably think of this too much but something about him is very off, his blue eyes are empty even though it's like he tries so hard to fill them, and his smile, he has a gorgeous smile
