Hello, I'm glad you picked this up. Things you should know about me: I have five kids, and I don't have time to write a poetry book. For the year of 2022, my mind has been on the verge of bursting. The words have demanded to be given their own dimension, and so here I am-typing this from a corner of the laundry room we made into an "office" during the pandemic. Writing poetry first came to me while at a birth, and soon after became a way to connect with myself. When not surrounded by my small people, you can find me attending births as a doula, teaching classes as a childbirth educator, studying, and sometimes hiding in the bathroom. May these words give you permission to embrace not being okay at times, discover pieces of yourself, and maybe even bring a little hope. Life is hard. Be kind to yourself. The kindest thing I could do for myself today was write.
